This project involves designing the cover and illustrating the book Shri Tomba Amasoong Kei: Collected plays of Khundrakpam Brajachand. The design employs photo-montages executed in a manner to exude the staged feeling of a play. Another concern was to reflect the surrealistic settings and the quirky sense of humour present throughout the book in the visuals.

From the description on the book cover:

Tomba’s (Tombagi Yum) helplessness when he finds himself unable to enter his house occupied by strangers; the idealist tiger (Tomba Amasoong Kei) whose age old desire is to devour a ‘real’ human; the hunter (Chithi Puba Uchek) explaining why the letter bird is better off dead; Tomba (Shri Leikhidraba Tomba) declared dead for good by the world; Sanãtombi's (Tingkhang) choice between the thorn and the flute; Sãnakhyã (Sãnakhyã Amasoong Makhokta Sanã Toppa Thãng) who hoped the thief will take away his sword. Khundrakpam Brajachand’s characters confront the irony of destiny in various ways. His metaphors reveal, parallel to the surrealistic plots, an undercurrent of notions concerning the dilemma of human existence...
